As an Electrochemical Engineer you will be working for Electrolyser projects.

Your responsibilities:

• You are responsible for workpackages in the field electrochemical development of an Electrolyser stack
• Your main focus is on stack vs. system interaction
• Main focus topics are:

1.Material choices

2.Design of the electrochemical cell

3.Lay-out (mesh/flow/…)and sizing of the cells

• Design, execute, evaluate and report tests on single cell to short stack evaluations
• Strong collaboration with the simulation, modelling and validation team
• You will work with an international team with collegues from Linz, Bamberg, Feuerbach, Renningen

Other focus topics within the group are:

• AST & degradation
• Conditioning of Electrolyser stacks
• Function of membranes/electrodes
• Corrosion

Your profile:

• MSc Chemical engineering or Electrochemistry, preferably PhD
• Knowledge of preferably PEM or alkaline/AEM chemistry
• Electrochemical testing competence:

o e.g. EIS, cyclic voltammetry

• Materials characterisation
• o e.g. SEM/XRD/FTIR/GDOES
