Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for automotive-experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our client's team in the city of Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, realizing and testing of a system, subsystem and component as part of a user story / feature; understanding and communicating consequences of the design on the architecture

• Designing for (manual and automated) testability

• Participation in the planning and retrospective processes during scrum rituals

• Identifying and solving impediments (with support from the scrum master where required)

• Executing on the definition of done and ensuring minimum build failure on account of integration issues. Acting promptly when failures are detected

• Challenging the status-quo and bringing your best software development practices into the automotive industry

Your profile:

• Min. Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science or equivalent

• Min. 6 years of experience in an embedded software engineering role within automotive industry (preferably large, multinational organization)

• Knowledge of model-based design techniques, preferably in Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow

• Knowledge of embedded software design processes (according the V-cycle)

• Good understanding of SOLID principles in software design

• Experience with maintaining, debugging and/or extending legacy code

• Experience with agile/scrum

• Excellent command of English language

• Analytical skills and the ability to abstract from the current situation and to explain complex technical information clearly

• Soft skills: Growth Mindset; Ability to collaborate in and across teams; Conflict Management; Accountability; Proactive attitude; Adaptability

• Strong C++/QT and Python skills and experience with RTOS / Linux / OOP / Design patterns in complex High Tech environment are a plus
