Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer for an opportunity at our client in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

General tasks to be performed: 

• Contribute to all activities related to the Quality and Safety process.
• Actively promote and support the monitoring and improvement of processes within the Test Centre.
• Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance and Safety documentation including the QA manual.
• Monitor the correct implementation of customer requirement for all activities carried out in the Test Centre.
• Operate the non-conformance control system including chairing Non-conformance Review Boards (NRB).
• Prepare, perform, report and follow-up internal/external audits and safety inspections.
• Organize and chair Facility Readiness Reviews (FRR) and other test reviews.
• Organize and chair Safety Review Boards (SRB) and follow up mitigation actions
• Contribute to the ETS risks assessment and mitigation. 
• Interface with customer Product Assurance (PA) and Safety representatives to ensure the implementation of customer requirements. 
• Co-Administration of QA related software tools
• Coordinate, prepare and follow-up Configuration Change Board (CCB) meetings
• Lead the Configuration Management Organization (CMO)
• Report to the ETS Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) and act as his deputy.

Candidate’s Profile

To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background / experience is required: 

• Master degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Technical Sciences. 
• Experience in the implementation of management systems in compliance with Quality and safety standards such as ISO9001, EN9100, OHSAS 18001.
• Experience in Product Assurance or Quality Assurance in the European space industry, and knowledge of relevant ESA standards (ECSS) is an asset.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
• Good organisation and communications skills, a proactive attitude to solving problems.
• Good analytical, organization and communication capabilities.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment and have an attitude to cooperation and to accomplish solutions in line with team objectives.
• Good communications skills, a proactive attitude to solving problems and an interest for innovative technologies
• Fluent English language skills
