Akkodis has an excellent opportunity for a Scrum Master (Software Engineering). The right person will be assigned for a project of the minimum duration of 1 year at our client Thales, located in Hengelo.
Within the Engineering cluster the software engineering department is responsible for the development of combat and information management systems for navy ships, integration with sensor- and weapon systems as well as the development of sensor processing applications. These complex systems are used world-wide by selected partners to protect and because we believe every person on this earth has the right to be safe. This software is the heart of the systems used in critical situations where lives are at stake.
Within the software engineering department and more specifically for the Platform team, we are looking for talented Scrum Master
About the job
As a Scrum Master you will work in multidisciplinary Agile teams. These teams develop and test the infrastructure platform for the combat management systems. The development teams are responsible for the entire development chain – requirements analysis, development, integration, testing, validation and demonstrating the current status of the product. The infrastructure we are currently developing will be the basis of our products for the next 30 years.
As Scrum Master you have knowledge of Agile principles and the Scrum process framework and knows how to implement these. You act as a mentor/coach and you are capable of getting the most out of the people in the team and the team as whole. The Scrum Master works as a facilitator, is pro-active and has the agility to react on changing circumstances.

Requirements
- You are an experienced Scrum Master. Driven and result oriented. You drive for results by focusing on the human side and strengthen responsibility and involvement with your team mates.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and teams to share best practices and promote continuous improvement.
- Develop and ensure a pleasant and effective team dynamic.
- Strong communicator and able to give and receive feedback.
- Coach and develop teams and product owners in self-organization.
- Adapt your style and tools to the maturity level of a team and its environment.
- You have a software engineering background in a Linux environment.
- An important requirement to fulfil this role, is flexibility and the ability to communicate fluently in English to all types (technical, management) of stakeholders.
- You hold a bachelor or master degree in computer science, IT service management or comparable. Your colleagues are recognized experts in the field and will help you get up to speed and Thales will gladly invest in your development.
