Akkodis is seeking an Android Developer for a Contract job with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Android SDK, Jetpack components, MVVM architecture, and integrating RESTful APIs.
Rate Range: $51.51/hour to $53.03/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Android Developer job responsibilities include:
Develop Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
Implement modern Android architecture patterns including MVVM and Jetpack components.
Ensure compatibility across different Android versions using Android SDK.
Integrate RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications with backend services.
Apply UI/UX principles and material design guidelines for responsive layouts.
Migrate and maintain UI components using TailwindCSS and modern libraries.
Utilize dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt.
Implement asynchronous programming using coroutines.
Manage code using Git and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Android projects.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Android development.
Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
Strong understanding of Jetpack, MVVM, and modern UI practices.
Experience with RESTful API integration and responsive design.
Familiarity with dependency injection, coroutines, and CI/CD tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Pay Details: $51.51 to $53.03 per hour
