Business Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a Business Analyst for a Contract job with a client in New York Mills, NY. Responsibilities include writing BRDs, JIRA stories, and test scripts, as well as performing detailed functional testing and SQL-based analysis.

Rate Range: $56/hour to $59/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Business Analyst job responsibilities include:

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.

• Create detailed documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories in tools like JIRA.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and business users, to ensure alignment and clarity.

• Perform functional testing and validate solutions to ensure they meet business needs and compliance standards.

• Use SQL and data analysis tools to extract insights, validate data, and support decision-making.

• Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate findings, updates, and recommendations to stakeholders.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Banking and Financial domain.

• Proven experience working with Finance General Ledger (GL), preferably with SAP.

• Strong skills in writing BRDs, JIRA stories, test scripts, and performing functional testing.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $59.00 per hour
