    Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. You will design and automate data pipelines to collect, process, and enrich data for analytics and reporting.

    Rate Range: $49/hour to $51/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Design and develop automated data pipelines to collect, process, and enrich data for analytics and reporting.

    • Write efficient Python scripts using libraries like Pandas, SQLAlchemy, and NumPy for data transformation and cleaning.

    • Connect to and manage databases (preferably AWS Redshift) to extract, process, and optimize data workflows.

    • Implement and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and performance tuning across multiple sources.

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

    • Ensure data quality and governance throughout the data lifecycle to maintain accuracy and compliance.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or related field.

    • 3–5 years of experience in data engineering and automation projects.

    • Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using libraries like Pandas, SQLAlchemy, and NumPy for data processing and transformation.

    • Expertise in SQL for querying and performance tuning, along with experience connecting to databases (preferably AWS Redshift) and automating data workflows.

    Pay Details: $49.00 to $51.00 per hour
