    Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL(Hybrid). You will design and implement secure, scalable cloud-native solutions while supporting infrastructure components like subnets, databases, and streaming platforms.

    Rate Range: $41/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Design and develop cloud-native applications using Azure services such as AKS, ACA, CosmosDB, and serverless functions.

    • Implement and secure cloud infrastructure, including subnets, databases, streaming platforms, and API gateways.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, proposing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

    • Assist in managing the SDLC backlog, providing technical direction and support to development teams.

    • Document technical designs and development processes, ensuring alignment with client standards and SSDLC practices.

    • Collaborate across teams, leveraging CI/CD, observability tools, and automation technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.

     

     Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or associate degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or 7+ years of relevant IT experience.

    • Minimum of 3+ years in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.

    • Proven hands-on experience with Azure services including AKS/ACA, serverless functions, CosmosDB, and CI/CD pipelines.

    • Strong background in microservices/API development, with working knowledge of Java, SQL/NoSQL databases, and observability tools like Dynatrace or AppInsights.

    Pay Details: $41.00 to $60.00 per hour
