    Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Pleasanton, CA. You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines and managing data models across cloud-based storage systems like S3.

    Rate Range: $53/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Sr. Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Design and build scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue and PySpark to support large-scale data processing.

    • Develop and maintain data models optimized for performance and reliability in Redshift and S3 environments.

    • Implement and manage ETL workflows, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions and support business analytics needs.

    • Utilize version control tools like Git to manage codebase and support CI/CD practices.

    • Optimize data infrastructure through performance tuning, automation, and best practices in cloud data engineering.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

    • 5–7 years of experience in data engineering and cloud-based data solutions.

    • Hands-on experience with AWS services including Glue, Redshift, and S3 for building and managing data pipelines.

    • Strong proficiency in PySpark and data modeling, with version control using Git.

    Pay Details: $53.00 to $68.00 per hour
