Akkodis is seeking a Senior Development Quality Engineer for a Contract position with a client in Westford, MA. This role serves as a technical quality representative on product development teams, providing design quality expertise throughout the product lifecycle.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Development Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:
Lead and/or support on‑time completion of Design Control deliverables across product development phases.
Support development of objective, measurable, and verifiable product requirements.
Plan and support Design Verification & Validation (V&V) activities, including cross‑functional investigations and issue resolution.
Lead Risk Management activities from product concept through commercialization, including FMEA and related analyses.
Support test method development and lead test method validation activities.
Support manufacturing process development and process qualification for new products and design changes.
Support establishment of component specifications, supplier sampling plans, and vendor qualification activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, and/or Quality Engineering.
At least 2 years of direct support for product development activities.
Experience working with medical devices and applicable regulatory standards.
Experience in test method development and validation.
Experience preparing risk assessments, FMEA, and other risk management documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience with active implantable medical devices.
Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
Experience using problem reporting systems (e.g., JIRA).
Working knowledge of statistics and application to verification and validation activities.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
