Senior Development Quality Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Development Quality Engineer for a Contract position with a client in Westford, MA. This role serves as a technical quality representative on product development teams, providing design quality expertise throughout the product lifecycle.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Development Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Lead and/or support on‑time completion of Design Control deliverables across product development phases.

• Support development of objective, measurable, and verifiable product requirements.

• Plan and support Design Verification & Validation (V&V) activities, including cross‑functional investigations and issue resolution.

• Lead Risk Management activities from product concept through commercialization, including FMEA and related analyses.

• Support test method development and lead test method validation activities.

• Support manufacturing process development and process qualification for new products and design changes.

• Support establishment of component specifications, supplier sampling plans, and vendor qualification activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, and/or Quality Engineering.

• At least 2 years of direct support for product development activities.

• Experience working with medical devices and applicable regulatory standards.

• Experience in test method development and validation.

• Experience preparing risk assessments, FMEA, and other risk management documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Experience with active implantable medical devices.

• Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).

• Experience using problem reporting systems (e.g., JIRA).

• Working knowledge of statistics and application to verification and validation activities.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
