AI/ML Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an AI/ML Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate must have hands‑on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and AI agent frameworks, along with strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot) and working knowledge of Python for AI/ML development.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

AI/ML Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design and develop AI/Generative AI solutions using LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and AI frameworks.

• Build and integrate AI services into enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

• Develop chatbot workflows, AI orchestration logic, and automation solutions.

• Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize AI models for performance, accuracy, and scalability.

• Develop and maintain backend microservices supporting AI applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 3–5+ years of experience in software development, with hands-on exposure to AI/Generative AI applications.

• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot (must-have).

• Working knowledge of Python for AI/ML development (must-have).

• Experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG pipelines, and AI agent frameworks (must-have).

• Experience building microservices and REST APIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or other AI orchestration frameworks.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $58.00 per hour
