Azure Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Azure Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Bellevue, WA. The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable data pipelines and ML workflows on Azure to support enterprise analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $54/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Azure Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using PySpark and Azure Synapse for large-scale data processing.

• Build and operationalize machine learning workflows using Azure ML Studio, including training and deployment.

• Develop Python-based data solutions for ingestion, transformation, and analytics across Azure platforms.

• Query and analyze data using Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) to generate insights and support troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data and ML solutions.

• Monitor, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

• 8–10 years of experience in data engineering, big data, and Azure-based solutions

• Strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and Azure Synapse for building scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions

• Hands-on experience with Azure ML, Azure Storage, and data processing best practices to support end-to-end ML workflows and data reliability.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $54.00 per hour
