Azure Data Engineer Lead

Akkodis is seeking an Azure Data Engineer Lead for a Contract with a client in Bellevue, WA. The ideal candidate is responsible for designing and managing scalable data pipelines, building data warehouses, and enabling advanced analytics using Azure services.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Azure Data Engineer Lead Job Responsibilities include:

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure services such as Synapse, ADF, and Azure Databricks.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models to support data warehousing and analytics solutions.

• Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Integrate and manage data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize data processes for efficiency and scalability.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience in data engineering, with strong exposure to Azure data platforms.

• Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Power BI, and Azure services such as Synapse, ADF, and Azure Databricks for building scalable data solutions.

• Proven experience in data warehousing, PySpark/Python development, and optimizing data pipelines, with exposure to Cosmos DB or Microsoft Fabric as a plus.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $50.00 per hour
