Cloud Engineer Specialist

Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Engineer Specialist for a Contract with a client in Mclean, VA. This role will design and integrate secure, cloud‑native services while supporting complex system integrations and production deployments.

Rate Range: $100/hour to $105/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Cloud Engineer Specialist Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and deploy secure, cloudy microservices and APIs in AWS environments.

• Build and integrate REST APIs with IAM solutions, including OAuth, SSO, SAML, and MFA.

• Lead and support complex cloud system integrations across enterprise platforms and third‑party services.

• Contribute to full software development lifecycle activities, from design through production deployment.

• Support cloud infrastructure and containerized deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC tools.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 7+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in cloud technologies (10+ years preferred).

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, cloud‑native microservices, and REST API development using Java or Python.

• Proven expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), including OAuth, SSO/SAML, MFA, and secure cloud integrations.

Pay Details: $100.00 to $105.00 per hour
