Data Engineer - L3 Support Engineer (Sr)

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer - L3 Support Engineer (Sr) for a Contract with a client in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of data pipelines on Databricks and Spark platforms.

Rate Range: $60/Hour to $64/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer - L3 Support Engineer (Sr) Job Responsibilities include:

• Provide L3 production support for Databricks and Spark-based data pipelines, ensuring stability and high availability.

• Troubleshoot complex pipeline failures and perform root cause analysis to resolve critical data issues.

• Optimize performance of data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and advanced SQL techniques.

• Support incident, change, and problem management processes within Asset Management environments.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement fixes and continuous improvements.

• Maintain documentation and enforce best practices for data pipeline support and performance tuning.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of experience in data engineering with strong production support exposure.

• Deep hands-on expertise in Databricks, Spark, PySpark, and SQL with proven L3 support capability for complex data pipelines and performance tuning.

• Experience supporting data platforms within the Asset Management domain, including incident management, root cause analysis, and adherence to enterprise support processes.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $64.00 per hour
