Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks while driving data classification, DLP controls, and continuous improvement of enterprise data security posture.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Assess and manage enterprise Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) to identify, monitor, and reduce data‑related security risks.

• Discover, classify, and protect sensitive data across its lifecycle using DLP and data classification tools and best practices.

• Align data security controls with cybersecurity and GRC frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.

• Partner with cybersecurity, data governance, and risk teams to identify information risks and implement remediation plans.

• Perform data risk assessments, posture reviews, and gap analyses to enhance data protection and compliance.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adapt data security strategies in evolving business and threat environments.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline; specialization or certification in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Data Governance is a plus.

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, with 6–8 years preferred in data security, governance, or information risk roles.

• Hands‑on experience with Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) capabilities, including data discovery, classification, DLP, and data lifecycle management.

• Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity and GRC frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, with the ability to assess risk and drive compliance‑focused security improvements.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $37.00 per hour
