Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines while transforming and integrating large datasets across cloud and enterprise platforms.

Rate Range: $37/Hour to $49/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines across cloud and enterprise environments using SQL, PySpark/Snowpark, and orchestration tools.

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries on large datasets and convert logic into performant PySpark/Snowpark code.

• Analyze and integrate data from multiple sources, enabling scheduled ingestion and CDC-based pipelines.

• Develop data processing solutions using Python libraries (pandas, NumPy) with a focus on performance and reliability.

• Collaborate across teams to enhance existing Java/SQL applications and support micro-architecture workflows.

• Leverage AWS (S3, EC2), Snowflake, DBT, and scheduling/orchestration tools (Autosys, Talend) to ensure robust data operations.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

• 6–10 years of experience in data engineering, data pipeline development, or analytics roles.

• Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Snowflake, PySpark/Snowpark, and AWS with experience building high‑performance, large‑scale data pipelines.

• Proven experience with data orchestration, CDC, DBT, Linux scripting, and collaborating across teams to enhance existing Java/SQL‑based applications and micro‑architecture systems.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
