Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. This role requires strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and GCP to build ETL pipelines, optimize data workflows, and ensure reliable, high-performance data solutions.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using PySpark, Airflow, and GCP-native tools.

• Build and optimize data warehouses and analytics solutions using BigQuery for large-scale data processing.

• Write complex SQL queries and perform data transformations, ensuring performance optimization and data accuracy.

• Implement workflow orchestration and automation using Airflow/Cloud Composer for efficient data processing.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production data pipelines while ensuring data reliability and security.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions and drive best practices in data engineering.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing with Big Data technologies. 

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, Hadoop ecosystem, and GCP services like BigQuery and Airflow. 

• Expertise in building scalable data pipelines, complex SQL processing, and optimizing large-scale distributed data systems.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $47.00 per hour
