Developer-Java/J2EE Specialist

Akkodis is seeking a Developer-Java/J2EE Specialist for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. This role will design, develop, and deliver high‑quality Java microservices while supporting application deployment and integration on Kubernetes platforms.

Rate Range: $90/hour to $100/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer-Java/J2EE Specialist Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and deliver Java/J2EE applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

• Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to build cutting‑edge solutions under tight deadlines.

• Develop, deploy, and manage applications on Kubernetes EKS clusters.

• Perform integration, testing, and debugging across application components and services.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Gradle, and Docker.

• Create and execute unit tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure code quality and reliability.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.

• 7–10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application development (10+ preferred).

• Strong hands‑on expertise with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and relational databases.

• Proven experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes (EKS) with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Gradle.

Pay Details: $90.00 to $100.00 per hour
