DevOps Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an DevOps Engineer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Azure, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices, while automating deployment processes and ensuring platform reliability, security, and performance.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

DevOps Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for automated build and deployment

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including AKS, App Services, and Function Apps

• Implement containerization using Docker and orchestrate workloads via Kubernetes (AKS)

• Integrate DevSecOps practices such as code quality checks, vulnerability scanning, and secure configurations

• Monitor system performance with logging, alerting, and reliability enhancements across platforms

• Collaborate with development, QA, and platform teams to support automation, scalability, and modernization initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 7–10+ years of experience in DevOps engineering with strong exposure to Azure environments

• Hands-on expertise in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS), and DevSecOps practices

• Strong experience in cloud infrastructure management, automation frameworks, and implementing secure, scalable, and reliable deployment solutions.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
