DSPM Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an DSPM Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting and optimizing data security posture by managing integrations, monitoring systems, and enforcing data protection policies across on-prem and cloud environments.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

DSPM Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Support implementation and day-to-day operations of DSPM tools to ensure effective data discovery, classification, and policy enforcement.

• Integrate and onboard data sources across on-prem and cloud platforms using IGDC/1touch and Cortex.

• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents to maintain secure and stable data security operations.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and vendor teams to enhance integrations and optimize configurations.

• Develop and maintain APIs and automation scripts (Python) to streamline DSPM processes and improve efficiency.

• Document processes, track metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen data security posture.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in data security, cybersecurity, or data engineering with a focus on DSPM or data classification.

• Strong expertise in APIs, integration patterns (REST/event-driven), Python scripting, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Proven experience in implementing data discovery, classification, and security controls across modern data architectures with knowledge of regulatory frameworks (PII, PCI).

Pay Details: $37.00 to $47.00 per hour
