Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will design and develop cloud-native applications and scalable web solutions leveraging AWS services and modern full-stack technologies.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable web and cloud-native applications using Java, Python, Angular, and AWS services.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and related services.

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and DevOps best practices.

• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray.

• Implement security best practices across AWS environments, including IAM, KMS, and CloudTrail.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of experience in software development and cloud-based application engineering.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Python, Angular, and building cloud-native applications on AWS.

• Proven experience with DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, serverless architectures, and implementing secure, scalable AWS solutions.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
