Engineering Technician

Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician for a Contract with a client in Tempe, AZ. The ideal candidate will support development and certification of complex actuation products by executing environmental, functional, and qualification testing in a regulated laboratory setting.

NOTE: 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2nd shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Rate Range: $30/hour to $35/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineering Technician Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute environmental, functional, and qualification test procedures for actuation components.

• Perform day‑to‑day testing, assembly, and validation activities in support of R&D and new product development.

• Set up, operate, maintain, and fabricate test equipment and fixtures per lab work instructions.

• Analyze test data, identify discrepancies, and document results in accordance with lab and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with Mechanical Test Lab personnel to complete testing tasks and support certification efforts.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives, ensuring safety, quality, and FAA compliance throughout test operations.

 

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; technical training or coursework in mechanical, aerospace, or related fields preferred.

• Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on experience in actuation and pneumatic valve testing.

• Proven experience performing functional, environmental, or qualification testing on actuation, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.

• Strong ability to interpret test data, follow lab procedures, and support compliance with FAA or similar regulatory standards.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
