Field Service Technician

A Field Service Technician job in Atlanta, GA is available courtesy of Akkodis. We are seeking a Field Service Technician who will perform field service activities at customer sites. Our customers include data centers, healthcare, government, and other industries requiring mission critical power. The Field Service Technician  will travel to customer locations to perform startup services, maintenance services, troubleshooting, and repair. This is a travel heavy Service Tech position supporting customer sites throughout the Atlanta area and surrounding regions. 

Pay is $36/hr up to $38/hour (OT paid at 1.5x; any work on Sunday paid at 2x regular rate)

 

Field Service Technician Responsibilities

·         Perform startup and routine maintenance on electrical power equipment

·         Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures

·         Perform equipment testing to confirm proper function and identify operational issues

·         Provide detailed documentation of all service visits within the specified timeframe

·         Respond to customer inquiries and provide guidance on potential upgrades or improvements

 

Required Skills & Experience

·         Minimum of 2 years’ field service experience, preferably in power generation and backup power, or equivalent military experience

·         Electrical wiring diagram and schematic knowledge

·         Networking and/or electronic communication experience a plus

·         Experience with fluid systems, chill water systems a plus

·         Ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams through verbal and written communication
