Gen AI Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Gen AI Engineer for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building AI-driven solutions using agent-based architecture, LangChain frameworks, and custom tools.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Gen AI Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design and develop AI agents using LangChain frameworks, implementing scalable and efficient generative AI architectures.

• Build and integrate custom tools, MCPs, and agent workflows to enhance AI system capabilities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify use cases and deploy AI-driven solutions.

• Optimize model performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous testing and improvements.

• Research and innovate new approaches in Generative AI to drive advanced product capabilities.

• Monitor and maintain AI systems, ensuring accuracy, security, and production readiness.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience in software development with strong focus on AI/Gen AI engineering.

• Hands-on expertise in Python, LangChain, and building agent-based architectures, including MCPs and custom AI tools.

• Strong ability to design scalable Gen AI solutions, innovate new AI approaches, and implement production-ready intelligent agent systems.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
