Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a GRC Engineer for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for designing, developing, and securing scalable governance, risk, and compliance solutions using modern backend architecture and APIs.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
GRC Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design and develop secure GRC solutions using Python, Node.js, and API-driven microservices architectures.
Build and maintain scalable services using Docker and Kubernetes while ensuring high availability and security.
Implement and integrate compliance controls aligned with GRC and regulatory frameworks into system designs.
Develop and manage APIs for data exchange, automation, and integration with enterprise platforms.
Work with databases to ensure secure data handling, integrity, and performance.
Collaborate with security, risk, and engineering teams to assess risks, remediate gaps, and enforce governance standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field.
6–8 years of hands-on experience in software engineering with a focus on GRC, security, or compliance-driven systems.
Strong expertise in Python and API development, with hands-on experience building microservices-based solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, secure system design, and strong database and security fundamentals.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
