Akkodis is seeking a Hardware Testing Engineer for a Contract to hire with a client in Dayton, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing environmental and vibration tests, configuring lab setups, and ensuring accurate data documentation for product validation.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Hardware Testing Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Execute vibration and environmental stress tests to validate product performance and reliability.
Set up and configure test equipment, wiring harnesses, and lab infrastructure for accurate testing.
Maintain detailed and accurate test data, documentation, and project records.
Identify and escalate test failures or issues to validation engineers for timely resolution.
Use tools like Jira to track test progress, issues, and workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional validation teams to support product development and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
3+ years of experience in a test lab or validation environment.
Hands-on experience with test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and executing DVP&R.
Strong ability to run tests independently, maintain accurate documentation, and troubleshoot/escalate issues in a structured validation process.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
