Hardware Testing Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Hardware Testing Engineer for a Contract to hire with a client in Dayton, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing environmental and vibration tests, configuring lab setups, and ensuring accurate data documentation for product validation.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Hardware Testing Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Execute vibration and environmental stress tests to validate product performance and reliability.

• Set up and configure test equipment, wiring harnesses, and lab infrastructure for accurate testing.

• Maintain detailed and accurate test data, documentation, and project records.

• Identify and escalate test failures or issues to validation engineers for timely resolution.

• Use tools like Jira to track test progress, issues, and workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional validation teams to support product development and compliance.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).

• 3+ years of experience in a test lab or validation environment.

• Hands-on experience with test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and executing DVP&R.

• Strong ability to run tests independently, maintain accurate documentation, and troubleshoot/escalate issues in a structured validation process.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
