Infrastructure Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX (Remote). The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Kafka, Kubernetes, and cluster scaling to implement robust infrastructure, optimize performance, and support real-time data processing systems.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Infrastructure Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Set up, configure, and manage Kafka infrastructure for QA and production environments.

• Design and scale Kafka clusters to support high-throughput, real-time data streaming.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Kubernetes/ROSA for automated deployments.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka performance and system reliability.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate Kafka with streaming tools like Apache Flink.

• Ensure system stability, security, and efficient data flow across distributed architectures.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on distributed systems and streaming platforms.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Confluent Kafka, Apache Kafka, and Kubernetes (ROSA) with proven experience in designing and scaling Kafka clusters.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Apache Flink, and Golang, along with the ability to manage high-availability, real-time data streaming environments.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $58.00 per hour
