Java Backend Developer with AI

Akkodis is seeking a Java Backend Developer with AI for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will design and deliver scalable backend services and APIs while integrating AI‑driven capabilities into enterprise applications.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Backend Developer with AI Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java 8, Spring Boot, and Kotlin.

• Integrate AI capabilities such as LLMs, RAG pipelines, and AI agents into enterprise applications securely.

• Build and support microservices using Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services on GCP.

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) including schema design and optimization.

• Own end‑to‑end delivery from development to production, including CI/CD using GitHub Actions.

• Mentor team members and contribute to platform architecture, best practices, and continuous improvement.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 6–8+ years of experience in backend or full‑stack software development.

• Strong hands‑on expertise in Java (Spring Boot), REST API development, and microservices on GCP with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Practical experience integrating AI capabilities (LLMs, RAG, AI agents) into enterprise applications with solid CI/CD and cloud deployment practices.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $46.00 per hour
