Akkodis is seeking a Java Backend Developer with AI for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will design and deliver scalable backend services and APIs while integrating AI‑driven capabilities into enterprise applications.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Java Backend Developer with AI Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java 8, Spring Boot, and Kotlin.
Integrate AI capabilities such as LLMs, RAG pipelines, and AI agents into enterprise applications securely.
Build and support microservices using Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services on GCP.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) including schema design and optimization.
Own end‑to‑end delivery from development to production, including CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
Mentor team members and contribute to platform architecture, best practices, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
6–8+ years of experience in backend or full‑stack software development.
Strong hands‑on expertise in Java (Spring Boot), REST API development, and microservices on GCP with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Practical experience integrating AI capabilities (LLMs, RAG, AI agents) into enterprise applications with solid CI/CD and cloud deployment practices.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $46.00 per hour
