Java Lead

Akkodis is seeking a Java Lead for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX. The candidate will lead development of scalable applications while designing RESTful APIs and guiding teams through Agile delivery and cloud-based solutions.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Lead Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

• Architect and develop RESTful APIs and backend services integrated with AWS cloud services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver customer-facing solutions.

• Guide and mentor development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and Agile methodologies.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement across development and delivery processes.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of experience in Java development with hands-on experience in leading development teams.

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful API development with AWS integration.

• Proven experience in Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and working with modern DevOps and monitoring tools in cloud-based environments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
