Lead Systems Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer for a Contract with a client in Glendale, AZ. The ideal candidate will lead the design, integration, and qualification of advanced air revitalization systems from concept through validation.

Rate Range: $51/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Lead Systems Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead system‑level development of air revitalization products from concept through qualification and deployment.

• Develop, decompose, and manage system requirements using DOORS/DOORS Next, ensuring full traceability.

• Define and execute Verification & Validation (V&V) strategies, including test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria.

• Drive system architecture, interface definition, and integration across mechanical, electrical, chemical, and test teams.

• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate emerging technology into validated system performance.

• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, trade studies, documentation, and mentoring of junior engineers.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience across product development and qualification.

• Proven expertise in requirements development and management using DOORS/DOORS Next, including V&V planning and execution.

• Strong experience working in regulated environments with MIL‑STD compliance and cross‑functional system integration leadership.

Pay Details: $51.00 to $56.00 per hour
