Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Level 1 Systems Admin job with a client in Rochester, NY. Must hold a High School Diploma to be considered. Your role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operations for clients' IT environments. Will be first line of defense for IT issues and escalate complex problems to senior administrators.

Salary Range: $50/k. to $58/k. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Level 1 Systems Admin responsibilities include:

·       Be the first line of defense in providing technical support clients

·       Troubleshooting software glitches, resolving network connectivity issues, or assisting with hardware/software installations

·       Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, whether in person, over the phone, or electronically

·       Collaborating closely with IT team, you'll contribute to maintaining our clients' systems up-to-date and running smoothly

·       Creating, modifying, and disabling user accounts (e.g., in Active Directory)

·       Managing password resets and unlocking accounts.

·       Responding to day-to-day IT support tickets (Tier 1 help desk).

·       Troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues (e.g., OS errors, office applications, VPN connectivity)

·       Setting up new workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices

·       Performing routine, scripted tasks like checking daily system backups.

·       Installing standard software updates, operating system patches, and antivirus definitions

Desired Qualifications:

·       High School Diploma is required.

·       Minimum Two-years related experience

·       Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common productivity software.

·       Proficient with Windows desktop OS skills

·       Proficient with Apple MacOS skills

·       Experience with Windows Server

·       Experience with Network, UTM, Firewalls, Inter-intranet

·       Experience with MSO365 and Google apps

·       Strong understanding of information technology principles and network systems.

·       Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues.

·       Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
