Level 2 RDS Agent/Automotive Tech

Akkodis is seeking a Level 2 RDS Agent/Automotive Tech for an 8+ month contract-to-hire job with a client in Plymouth, MI (Remote- visit Plymouth, MI once in 3 months). In this position, you will assist technicians in recalibrating vehicle sensors (ADAS systems). This role requires strong diagnostic experience, attention to detail, and a process-driven mindset.

Rate Range: $28/Hour to $32/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Schedule of Shift Hours:

• 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

• 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

• 10:00 am-6:30 pm

• 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm

 

Description:

• Automotive Certification or Automotive Training or 5+ years of Automotive ADAS/Diagnostic work experience.

• Proficient in OE or Aftermarket Scan tools on procedures and capabilities.

• Ability to read, interpret, and document automotive service information and technical service bulletins.

• Strong Automotive trouble-shooting and problem-solving capabilities.

 

In-depth knowledge of vehicle behavior on systems such as:

• Engine management system

• Safety Systems, such as ADS Module, Trailer Systems, Safety Restriain Systems (SRS), Antilock Brake Systems (ABS), Electronic systems, Energy supply, Braking systems, and Steering and Suspension Systems.

• Understanding the process of reprogramming/flashing of automotive ECUs (Preferred)

• In-depth understanding of Vehicle Diagnostic knowledge

• Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)

• Able to follow OE Service/Repair information

• 40 hours per week. No OT.

• Previous Automotive Diagnostic experience. Need to work in a dealership or as a lead mechanic at an independent.

• Not looking for service manual technical authors.

• Must be computer literate.

• Must be procedurally oriented.

• Strong customer service skills are critical.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
