Machine Learning Solutions Architect / AI Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Machine Learning Solutions Architect / AI Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate must have strong experience designing and implementing algorithmic product architectures in AWS, along with hands‑on expertise in ML pipelines, data processing, and cloud-native development.

Rate Range: $75/hour to $80/hour (W2); The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Machine Learning Solutions Architect / AI Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design and implement end-to-end ML product architectures, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model processing, and results activation.

• Partner with data science teams to develop real-time and batch workflows that maximize the impact of machine learning models.

• Build and prototype AI/ML solutions using AWS services, ensuring scalability, performance, and low latency.

• Develop and productionize solutions using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and cloud-native patterns.

• Build and enhance data pipelines and feature stores, including data cleansing, transformation, and optimization.

• Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, governance, and security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience building software and ML-driven products in cloud environments.

• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services for AI/ML development and deployment.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Docker.

• Experience with streaming and batch architectures at scale.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $80.00 per hour
