Manufacturing Eng Tool & Die

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Eng Tool & Die for a Contract with a client in Allen Park, MI (Hybrid). This role supports tooling design reviews, tryouts, and prove‑out activities to ensure manufacturability and production readiness.

Rate Range: $42/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Eng Tool & Die Job Responsibilities include:

• Support and participate in tooling design reviews to ensure manufacturability, process robustness, and alignment with program standards.

• Monitor tooling construction progress and verify compliance with program timing, quality, and technical requirements.

• Coordinate and support tool tryout activities and die prove‑out to achieve dimensional accuracy and run‑at‑rate capability.

• Identify, track, and resolve tooling issues impacting quality, manufacturability, or launch timing in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

• Support build events, PSW readiness, and key launch milestones by ensuring tooling readiness and risk mitigation.

• Document tooling issues, track Yellow Items, and support corrective action implementation with engineering, manufacturing, and tool shops.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering preferred.

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in stamping tooling, die development, and automotive production environments.

• Proven experience working with automotive tool shops, including tool build, tryout, and production readiness activities.

• Strong ability to identify tooling risks and support resolution within structured tooling or launch processes.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
