Material Clerk – Shipping (2nd Shift)

Akkodis is seeking a Material Clerk – Shipping (2nd Shift) for a Contract job with a client in Carson, CA. The ideal candidate must have experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, and inventory control, along with the ability to operate warehouse equipment and manage materials in a fast-paced environment.

Rate Range: $18/hour to $19/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Material Clerk job responsibilities include:

• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials in designated storage locations.

• Pick, kit, and issue parts for production and customer orders.

• Perform shipping activities, including packaging, labeling, and processing shipments using UPS/FedEx systems.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete transactions within the ERP system (Movex).

• Perform cycle counting and ensure inventory accuracy.

• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and cherry pickers (up to 24 ft) to move materials safely.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 1–3 years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics operations.

• Experience with forklift and cherry picker operation.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and data entry.

• Familiarity with inventory systems and barcode scanning equipment.

• Basic understanding of logistics processes and Bills of Materials (BOM).

• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

• Ability to perform basic math calculations and use measuring and counting tools.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
