Machine Builder – Plymouth, MI

A Machine Builder job in Plymouth, MI is available courtesy of Akkodis. This position works a consistent 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM schedule with opportunities for overtime. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and building custom machinery and equipment based on engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.

Machine Builder Responsibilities

• Assemble custom machinery and mechanical systems according to engineering drawings

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions

• Perform mechanical assembly including fitting, aligning, and adjusting components

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during assembly and testing

• Ensure builds meet quality and safety standards

• Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of machine building or industrial assembly experience

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Experience using hand and power tools

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with custom or automated machinery builds

• Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems

• Manufacturing or production environment experience

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
