Mechanical Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Everett, WA. The ideal candidate will drive the development and optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mechanical Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Analyze, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, operation sequences, and equipment requirements for production efficiency.

• Support new product introduction and provide ongoing engineering support for existing manufacturing operations.

• Work directly on the shop floor to resolve production issues and improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity (SQDIP).

• Collaborate with design and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and production readiness.

• Apply Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality and process reliability.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university.

• 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.

• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis methodologies.

• Ability to support shop floor operations, interpret mechanical drawings, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve production efficiency and quality.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
