Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Everett, WA. The ideal candidate will drive the development and optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mechanical Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Analyze, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, operation sequences, and equipment requirements for production efficiency.
Support new product introduction and provide ongoing engineering support for existing manufacturing operations.
Work directly on the shop floor to resolve production issues and improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity (SQDIP).
Collaborate with design and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and production readiness.
Apply Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality and process reliability.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
3+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis methodologies.
Ability to support shop floor operations, interpret mechanical drawings, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve production efficiency and quality.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
