Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a MuleSoft Sr Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. Responsible for designing scalable and fault-tolerant APIs, optimizing platform performance, and ensuring secure, reliable integrations across hybrid deployment environments.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
MuleSoft Sr Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Architect, design, and develop scalable, secure MuleSoft APIs for payment processing and integration ecosystems.
Lead full API lifecycle management including design, development, deployment, security, and maintenance.
Implement API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS) and ensure compliance with financial data regulations.
Optimize MuleSoft performance, vCore utilization, and ensure high availability with clustering and load balancing.
Develop event-driven architectures using Kafka and integrate with NoSQL databases for real-time processing.
Drive DevSecOps practices, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in API development, integration, and MuleSoft engineering.
Strong expertise in MuleSoft architecture, API security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS), and hybrid deployments (CloudHub & On-Prem).
Proven experience in designing scalable, high-availability payment APIs with event-driven architectures (Kafka), performance optimization, and observability tools.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
