Python Developer

Akkodis is king a skilled Senior Python Developer for a contract engagement supporting a leading financial technology platform. This opportunity offers the chance to work on innovative backend systems that power embedded lending solutions and modern digital financing experiences.

In this role, you will join a collaborative, high-performing engineering team and contribute to both the enhancement of existing platforms and the development of new capabilities. Your work will play a key role in delivering scalable, reliable, and efficient technology solutions.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, and other factors.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable, and testable code using Python and Django

• Own development efforts end-to-end, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Contribute to backend architecture and system design decisions

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services

• Identify potential risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions

• Collaborate effectively both independently and within a team-oriented environment

• Support additional responsibilities consistent with the scope of the role

 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development

• Strong expertise in Python and Django frameworks (5+ years preferred)

• 3+ years of experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns and testing practices

• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

• Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools such as JIRA, Lucidchart, Figma, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Office

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Statistics, or related field—or equivalent work experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Prior experience in a startup environment or within the fintech industry
