QA Automation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will design and deliver robust automated testing solutions to ensure high‑quality software releases across UI and backend systems.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

QA Automation Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design and implement automated test frameworks from scratch using Playwright and TOSCA.

• Develop and execute automated test cases for UI and backend systems to ensure application quality.

• Perform backend validation using SQL queries to verify data accuracy and integrity.

• Maintain and enhance automation scripts to support regression and continuous testing.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, report defects, and provide test status updates.

• Support full‑time onsite testing activities, ensuring timely delivery and high test coverage.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6–8+ years of experience in software testing, including 3+ years in test automation.

• Strong hands-on expertise in test automation tools such as Playwright and TOSCA, with ability to build automation frameworks from scratch.

• Proven experience in backend testing using SQL along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
