QA Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an QA Engineer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate is responsible for performing end-to-end functional, system, and API testing while ensuring data accuracy and validating cloud-based applications.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

QA Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Analyze business requirements to create detailed test cases and execute functional, system, integration, and UAT testing.

• Perform API and backend validation using Java understanding, Postman, and SQL queries to ensure data integrity.

• Validate applications deployed on GCP, including testing integrations with cloud services and microservices architecture.

• Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.

• Conduct end-to-end testing of workflows across applications, ensuring alignment with business and acceptance criteria.

• Contribute to QA process improvements, maintain documentation, and support Agile testing practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of experience in QA/testing roles, preferably in cloud and API-driven environments.

• Strong expertise in SQL and API testing (Postman) with solid understanding of Java for backend validation and debugging.

• Hands-on experience testing applications on GCP and microservices architecture, with proficiency in defect management tools like JIRA and Agile methodologies.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $41.00 per hour
