Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a R&D Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will support medical device regulatory compliance by coordinating external compliance testing, developing test plans and reports, and managing controlled documentation.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
R&D Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Coordinate and manage medical device compliance testing with external test houses to ensure regulatory conformance.
Develop, maintain, and execute compliance test plans and author detailed test reports.
Release, track, and maintain regulatory and compliance documentation within the document control system.
Monitor and analyze changes to applicable standards and regulations and assess their impact on products.
Perform regulatory and compliance impact assessments for new designs and changes to existing products.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and external laboratories to resolve compliance issues and support product approvals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred.
5–7 years of experience in medical device compliance testing (3–5 years considered with strong hands‑on experience).
Proven experience working with regulatory standards and coordinating compliance testing with external test laboratories.
Strong background in compliance documentation, test plan/report development, and regulatory impact assessments for medical devices.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
