Scrum Master

Akkodis is seeking a Scrum Master for a Contract with a client in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will lead hypervisor migration programs, driving sprint cadences, coordinating migration waves, and ensuring smooth execution across global teams.

Rate Range: $64/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Scrum Master Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives for the migration program.

• Coordinate and manage hypervisor/VMware migration waves across multiple data centers and time zones.

• Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and engineers to define scope, downtime, and rollback strategies.

• Drive program cadence, remove blockers, and ensure smooth execution of migration activities.

• Oversee change management processes and ensure adherence to delivery timelines and governance standards.

• Track progress, communicate updates to stakeholders, and ensure alignment across globally distributed teams.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Scrum Certification preferred).

• 6–8 years of experience as a Scrum Master with a focus on infrastructure or migration projects.

• Strong experience managing VMware/hypervisor migration programs and coordinating across global teams and data centers.

• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, backlog management, and tools such as Azure and ServiceNow ITAM for tracking and governance.

Pay Details: $64.00 to $68.00 per hour
