Senior IT Business Systems Analyst – Rail Applications

Akkodis is seeking a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst – Rail Applications for a Contract job with a client in Findlay, OH or San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate must have expert-level Business Analyst experience, including strong exposure to rail/logistics systems (Kaleris preferred) and hands‑on experience with SQL or Power BI for data analysis.

Rate Range:

• Ohio: $50/hour to $75/hour

• Texas: $55/hour to $82/hour
  The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior IT Business Systems Analyst job responsibilities include:

• Serve as the primary Business Analyst supporting rail/logistics applications, including systems such as Kaleris.

• Own and manage incident lifecycle activities, including tracking, prioritization, resolution, and reporting.

• Gather and translate business needs into high-quality requirements, use cases, and functional specifications.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate stakeholder communication throughout project phases.

• Analyze and work with transactional and logistics datasets, leveraging SQL or Power BI for insights and reporting.

• Partner closely with operations and accounting stakeholders to align business processes with system capabilities.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

• 8+ years of experience as an IT Business Systems Analyst, with strong enterprise-level exposure.

• Experience with rail/logistics systems (Kaleris strongly preferred).

• Proven experience in incident management, operational support, and ownership through issue resolution.

• Strong experience working with large enterprise environments (Oil & Gas industry preferred).

• Hands‑on expertise with SQL and/or Power BI for data analysis and reporting.

• Strong understanding of logistics, transactional data, and accounting relationships.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $57.00 per hour
