Senior Java Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building scalable, secure enterprise applications while optimizing performance and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Rate Range: $56/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Java Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications with a focus on distributed systems and performance optimization.

• Build and integrate RESTful services and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, SNS) to support high-volume applications.

• Optimize application performance through profiling, tuning, and efficient use of caching technologies.

• Ensure security and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, PII, SOX) are implemented across all solutions.

• Work with diverse databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle) to design and manage data storage solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes to ensure high-quality and reliable software delivery.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of experience in Java development and enterprise application environments.

• Strong expertise in Java, distributed systems, RESTful services, and messaging platforms like Kafka, SQS, and SNS.

• Proven experience in performance optimization, database technologies, caching mechanisms, and implementing secure, compliant systems (PCI-DSS, SOX, PII).

Pay Details: $56.00 to $60.00 per hour
