ServiceNow Developer/Analyst - CMDB / Event Mgmt

Akkodis is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer (ITSM/ITOM/ITAM) for a W‑2 contract position with a client located in San Antonio, TX or Findlay, OH (preferred), with remote consideration.

The ideal candidate brings expert‑level hands‑on ServiceNow development experience combined with strong Business Analyst capabilities, particularly within CMDB, Discovery, and Event Management, to support enterprise IT operations through December 2026.

Pay Rate:

• Texas: $55–$95/hr

• Ohio: $56–$80/hr

• Remote: $58–$75/hr

ServiceNow Developer Job Responsibilities Include:

• Build, configure, and enhance ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM towers, with depth in at least two areas.

• Act as a hands‑on developer while partnering closely with Architects to clarify design versus development decisions.

• Lead and support CMDB initiatives, including Discovery, dependency mapping, data quality, and governance.

• Configure and enhance the Event Management module, including event correlation, platform integrations, and synchronizations.

• Design, build, and support high‑visibility integrations with upstream and downstream systems using REST/SOAP, MID Server, and authentication patterns.

• Contribute to and maintain process flows and design documentation in collaboration with Architecture.

• Support Service Catalog configuration (requests, workflows, approvals).

• Deliver 5–7 enhancements per cycle, prioritizing high‑impact work through to production.

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide SME support across development and operations teams.

• Mentor developers, reduce bottlenecks across towers, and provide enablement and training as needed.

• Perform Business Analyst responsibilities, including:

  • Facilitating cross‑functional workshops and stakeholder alignment sessions.

  • Defining and documenting requirements, validating builds, and supporting testing.

  • Leading cost‑benefit and ROI analyses for asset and system decisions.

  • Supporting IT Asset Management governance (contracts, models, ownership, allocations).

  • Participating actively in Agile ceremonies (standups, planning, reviews, retrospectives, PI planning).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

• 4+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience with strong JavaScript expertise.

• Strong CMDB expertise, including Discovery and Event Management within the ITOM tower.

• Experience with AI‑driven operations or AIOps concepts within ServiceNow Event Management.

• Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow platform integrations and event correlation.

• Experience producing process flows and technical design documentation.

• ServiceNow Administrator Fundamentals certification (preferred).

• Experience supporting ServiceNow platform upgrades, including Yokohama and Xanadu versions.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with Architects, Product Owners, and IT Business Analysts.

• Experience mentoring developers within an Agile delivery environment.
