Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Rocky Mount, NC. This role will support yield improvement and overhaul repair development by researching technical and regulatory requirements and integrating approved solutions into repair documentation.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Review and research technical requirements for repair development, including processes, procedures, and techniques.

• Evaluate regulatory compliance requirements related to materials, tools, equipment, and facilities.

• Support yield improvement initiatives by contributing to TAT reduction and First Pass Yield (FPY) improvements.

• Develop and update repair processes, overhaul instructions, and technical inspection documentation.

• Integrate approved solutions into technical publications, revisions, and change requests.

• Provide technical oversight and support to suppliers and overhaul repair sites.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• 4–6 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.

• Experience developing repair processes, technical instructions, and overhaul documentation in a regulated environment.

• Proven ability to support yield improvement initiatives and provide technical oversight to suppliers or repair operations.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
