Sr Engineering Technician

Akkodis is seeking an Sr Engineering Technician for a Contract with a client in Clearwater, FL. This role performs hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation of advanced electronic assemblies to ensure reliability and performance.

Rate Range: $26/hour to $28/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Engineering Technician Job Responsibilities include:

• Perform dynamic, thermal, and functional testing on advanced electronic assemblies to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria.

• Set up, program, and operate specialized test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition tools.

• Troubleshoot and isolate faults using schematics, test procedures, and technical expertise.

• Execute system integration and environmental testing while maintaining detailed and accurate test logs.

• Follow strict procedures, safety standards, and maintain lab equipment, cleanliness, and operational readiness.

• Collaborate with engineers and technicians, communicate test results, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent military training/experience in electronics or a related field.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in electronics testing or technical discipline.

• Strong hands-on experience in electronic testing, troubleshooting, and use of general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, etc.).

• Ability to read schematics, follow detailed procedures, perform environmental/functional testing, and produce accurate technical documentation with strong attention to detail.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
