Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable data pipelines and ELT processes using Snowflake, Python, and Airflow while ensuring high performance and data quality.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and ELT workflows using Snowflake, Python, and Apache Airflow.

• Develop complex SQL queries, transformations, and data models (SCD) to support analytical and reporting needs.

• Implement and manage real-time and batch data ingestion pipelines using Snowpipe, Kafka, and API integrations.

• Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, and warehouse configuration.

• Ensure data quality, validation, and governance across all data processing pipelines.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, perform impact analysis, and deliver data-driven solutions.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field required.

• 8–10 years of experience in data engineering with strong focus on Snowflake, SQL, and Python-based data pipelines.

• Strong expertise in complex SQL, ETL/ELT processes, dimensional data modeling (SCD), and Snowflake architecture and performance tuning.

• Proven experience with Python (Pandas, Airflow), Kafka/streaming pipelines, and building scalable, automated data processing solutions.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $58.00 per hour
